Ironclad Electromagnet

Electromagnets are temporary magnets created by passing electrical current through a coil of wire to create a magnetic field. Simple electromagnets can be created by simply coiling wire around an iron nail and connecting the wire to a small battery. An ironclad electromagnet works on the same principle, however by using a much larger, tighter coil of wire, it generates a much more powerful magnetic field. In this video we demonstrate the powerful magnetic force created by a small ironclad electromagnet.
